Well, yes, they do have that reputation. But then again wasn't that more like Lampard, Terry, Cole and Drogba that run the club from the inside?

You only have to look at Man Utd to know exactly how powerful players can be by easing off when they play.

It's not right, I'll grant you that. But if you was a player like Hazard, by far their best player, and getting publicly coated after basically dragging the team with so many good performances then you would be fucked off.

And Kante, 2017 London player of the year, French player of the year, nominated for Ballon D'Or. 2018 World cup winner and in FIFA world Pro 11 team. All playing holding midfielder. Then Sarri turns up and plays in an advanced role and then switches you to right midfield. You would be fucked off.

The young players aren't getting a chance with Sarri. He is belligerently sticking to a system and team that's not working. And is losing touch with many of the players. Under Sarri Azpicueletta looks out of sorts and jaded, so does Alonso, so does Luiz and even now Pedro is way off the pace.

Is it because they just don't believe in him or the system?

So, yes, they do have a bit of a reputation at Chelsea but sometimes you reap what you sow.

By the way, I agree, the Empoli promotion and survival was pretty impressive.

fair enough, but i think his problems (and Conte's) are the group of players at Chelsea who seem to think they are much better than they really are. They have a habit of getting managers sacked.

getting Empoli up (and surviving) was a miracle. People say how good Rafa is, but look at what Sarri did at Napoli vs Rafa (with pretty much the same players).

He has consistently improved every team he has been at? Has he? He has only ever been at a club for two years max so I am not sure there's enough evidence to make that statement.

He got Empoli promoted to Serie A but then that season they avoided relegation by one point. So I suppose he improved them. Before that he has had more clubs than Nick Faldo as he was only ever there for a season or some for two season. Before that you are talking lower leagues and even non-league so if you know about that then you know more than me and I will bow to your superior knowledge. But I can't see how you can state he improves every team he has been at when he is there for one season.

After avoiding relegation with Empoli he went to Napoli. Strange appointment at the time. But, ok, he got them snipping at Juve but they were already doing that when he went there and had a good side anyway.

And he has not improved Chelsea at all in my opinion. He has lost he players and picks out of form players and plays players out of position.

For me, I still cannot see absolutely anything that tells me he is a 'top class manager'. That's all.

Too many prima donna's who do it one season and then shoot the manager down although this year they have done it a year early!! Can't stand them but they shot themselves in the foot as Jose was the perfect fit there but a few like Hazard and Luiz stamp their feet I suspect. Luiz makes me laugh, how can you be a PL defender when you can't defend, at tomes he makes Ogbonna look good!!!

Sarri ran Juventus closer than anyone has in recent years. He has consistently improved every team he has managed.

Sarri is a prime example of someone working their way through the leagues. The same group of players succeeded in making Conte look silly too.

Based on what? A couple of half decent seasons with Napoli?

He's only managed two sides in the their respective top divisions in his whole career. Not even sure how he got the Napoli job?? And he only got Chelsea job on the back of those seasons.

He's won nothing as a manager and won't win anything managing at the top level as he is out of his depth. He's basically an Italian Barry Fry.
